When the beloved Museum of the Rockies approached us, their new site just needed MOR (hehe...get it?)! It lacked mobile responsiveness and needed to be built on a content management system (our specialty), which would allow them to frequently update their site. We sat down with their team, made some friends, established some goals, and set out to give them a much needed, responsive and functional site that would make the staff and museum much more efficient.
Just because the MOR is ancient on the inside doesn’t mean it needed to look it on the outside! We started by creating an up-to-date, flexible and scalable design solution, with the ability to build and manage pages on their own. While keeping the Museum of the Rockies’ brand standards to at heart, we worked with the MOR team to create a fresh new look that was a big hit. Next, we built the site on a responsive, mobile-friendly framework, giving access to a much larger digital audience just waiting to be tapped.
It’s hard to describe what it’s like to stand in the shadow of a full T-Rex skeleton, so we think you should just visit! But, if you can’t make it into the museum in person, take a minute to grieve your situation, and then get yourself over to website and experience it online! Since the new site launched, we’ve seen website interaction rise nearly 50%, with consistent traffic throughout the year (now that’s a lot MOR!). We’ve had the good fortune to create a great partnership with the Museum and continue to create additional features and functionality to improve the overall experience for the over one million yearly visitors.
